Villa MV: Timeless Elegance in an '80s Renovation.
Every restoration project embodies the challenge of rewriting an existing story. Such is the case with Villa MV, an '80s residence completely reinterpreted by Michele Marcon, whose goal was to transform the past into vibrant contemporaneity. Formal purity, sobriety, and a careful selection of refined materials define the minimalist and sophisticated style of this renovated home, highlighting an unprecedented harmony between rationality and Mediterranean poetry.
Formal Rigor and Poetic Materiality
Sobriety and linearity are key characteristics that define the villa's interiors, where every element has been carefully selected to ensure impeccable visual and functional balance. Flush-to-wall doors and integrated furnishings become discreet protagonists in a design that seeks order and perfection. Glass, steel, and Laminam offer high-end technical solutions, softened by romantic touches evoking the natural warmth of the Mediterranean, as exemplified by the decorated tiles used in the kitchen, which elegantly recall the colors and motifs of traditional Mediterranean ceramics.
Dibiesse Kitchen: the Essence of Conviviality
The Dibiesse kitchen stands out as the home's vibrant heart. Its clean, bright design, enriched by technical surfaces and wooden details, evokes a sense of warmth and comfort. This area is more than just a functional space; it is a true focal point where technology meets essential and refined aesthetics, encouraging conviviality and enjoyment.
A Scenic Entrance with Architectural Character
Guests are welcomed by the impressive Synua pivot door by Oikos, a striking element characterized by refined contrasts between black aluminum and corten steel, used both externally and internally. This architectural choice, paired with meticulous lighting design, initiates a captivating visual journey filled with dramatic atmospheres and sensory intrigue.
Contemporary Living and Tailored Comfort
The living area is conceived as an oasis of relaxation and style. Its harmonious atmosphere is defined by a neutral and inviting color palette, enhanced by the minimalist design of the fireplace, custom-made bookcase, and elegant seating by Target Point. Natural light gently filters through Intendiamoci curtains, creating delicate shadows and soft reflections that amplify the sense of sophisticated intimacy and comfort.
Master Suite: Boutique Hotel Elegance
The master bedroom transforms into a refined private suite, seamlessly blending glamour with intimacy. The bedroom and bathroom elegantly merge, featuring marble-effect porcelain stoneware surfaces, a freestanding bathtub, and sophisticated lighting accents that emphasize its exclusivity. The open walk-in closet further enhances the luxurious feel, while bold contrasts between light and dark hues impart a decisive and refined identity to the space.
Lighting: The Art of Enhancing Spaces
Lighting design takes center stage, meticulously crafted to highlight every detail through focused and diffused illumination, creating depth and atmosphere in each room. Light becomes a genuine architectural feature, interacting harmoniously with the pure forms of the furnishings and ensuring a seamless visual flow throughout the villa.
Villa MV represents more than a simple renovation; it is a stylistic narrative through which Michele Marcon interprets contemporary design using timeless and refined language. It exemplifies how design, technical rigor, and emotion can perfectly merge, giving life to a home that looks to the future while preserving deep connections to Mediterranean aesthetic traditions and memory.
