Biography

Biography Michele Marcon Designer

Michele Marcon has pursued studies in graphic arts, industrial design and interior architecture. Always willing to get better and acquire new skills, he has been attending specialisation courses and getting various diplomas while working with showrooms in the industry first, and later collaborating with recognized design studios. When he launched his freelance career in 2008, he became the father of several iconic products known across the world, such as the freestanding Touch collection and the Loft kitchen. He therefore became a reference in the kitchen and bathroom industry, influencing both the Italian and international market. Now, he collaborates with many companies in the industry such as Snaidero, Milldue, Cleaf, Cerasa, Pamar, Arredo3, Dibiesse, Pivato Porte, Arte Brotto, Doal, Olev, Ossicolor, L&S, Oasis Group, Bosca Venezia, D&V, GT, Porte Trep +, Step Furniture, Target Point, Latho, Devina Nais, Brombal, Ballancin, Haute Material and Zbom, assuming the roles of Art Director and Product and Interior Designer. He has also received numerous awards: the German Design Award for the Loft kitchen model he created for Snaidero, Good Design for the Opera model and the Elle Decoration award for the Look kitchen model. Twice, he has won the Gran design etico award with the companies La Bottega del Mobile and Milldue, and finally, he has received the European Design award with Ottomano, the handrail designed for Olev.

“Design enables us to reach a degree of concreteness and approachability that language cannot achieve.”

    Design in my view
To design is to unite formal harmony with precise functionality, resulting in the creation of timeless objects. The goal of design should be to ensure products are available for public consumption, for everyone should have the chance to enjoy beauty and utility. A clear and effective communication of their vision has now become an essential cornerstone for designers, which implies using a universal language that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers: that of the sign.
