Every interior architecture begins with a silent dialogue between the physical space and the people who will traverse it. For the design of the new Latho company hall, the intent was not simply to define an entrance, but to translate the soul of the company into a tactile and visual experience. The goal was to transform the guest's first contact into an environment capable of welcoming, reassuring, and telling a story of profound mastery and sartorial care.
A Fluid and Natural Embrace
The development of the project was born from carefully listening to the pre-existing architecture. The desire not to intervene on the walls and systems defined a perimeter of action that we chose to interpret not as a limit, but as a precious blank canvas. Considering the multiple access points of the environment, it was essential to avoid interrupted or angular paths.
We thus shaped a geometry entirely dominated by the curved line. The sinuous forms never impose a rigid direction; on the contrary, they accommodate the step and embrace the visitor. The flows of movement remain soft and uninterrupted, creating a natural evolution that guides towards the beating heart of the company with great breath and freedom.
The Warmth of Wood, the Mastery of Form
To narrate Latho's identity, we let the matter itself take the floor. The sinuous claddings and the sculptural counter come to life through the use of "Capri," the elegant milled Canaletto walnut wood produced by the company itself.
This design choice goes far beyond pure aesthetics, becoming a tangible demonstration of their manufacturing capability. The texture of the wood, with its rhythmic grooves, captures the warm light and restores a softness that satisfies the eye and invites touch. The material ceases to be a simple covering to become a true living fabric, capable of giving the environment an atmosphere of cultured welcome.
Silent Geometries and Measured Contrasts
In our vision, elegance often resides in the delicate balance between what is shown and what remains concealed. The storage units and operational functions necessary for the reception have been hidden within the wooden volumes. This careful study of proportions guarantees maximum daily functionality, while simultaneously preserving absolute visual purity.
Balancing the organic warmth of the Canaletto walnut is the counter top, made of black Corian, a detail of sophisticated precision that acts as a perfect material counterpoint to the surrounding space. The opaque and deep solidity of this technical surface offers a reassuring touch, demonstrating how material innovation and calibrated thicknesses can serve to elevate daily comfort and not just performance.
The same language of care extends to the vertical connections. The wooden staircase is accompanied by discreet linear light cuts on the floor. These details are not mere aesthetic whims, but design elements crafted to gently accompany the step, making the exploration of the space an experience of pure and silent harmony.
