There are moments when design ceases to be mere exhibition and becomes a profound narrative. At the Salone del Mobile 2026, Studio Michele Marcon guided Target Point through a genuine natural evolution, translating an ambitious shift in communication into an architecture that is monumental, yet intimately human. We did not conceive a simple exhibition space, but rather the celebration of a newfound awareness: the desire to design, even before collections, authentic domestic landscapes in which to recognize oneself.
The grammar of softness
To narrate this new chapter, we chose to strip the volumes of any orthogonal rigidity, seeking a fluid and pacifying visual syntax. The entire structure unfolds through the softness of curved lines and gently rounded edges, which welcome the gaze without ever interrupting it. The surfaces present themselves as a blank canvas where two whispered and complementary colors converse: the tactile vibrations of a deeply textural rope hue and the reassuring elegance of a warm gray. It is a chromatic balance that does not impose its presence, but rather invites one to pause.
A promenade through the living fabric
The spatial experience was designed as a refined architectural promenade. An enveloping path, with a sinuous U-shape, accompanies the visitor not along a transit gallery, but through an orchestrated sequence of whispered domestic scenarios. Each hypothetical room is a fragment of life, a place where the sartorial matching of materials and the care for the product merge into a coherent living fabric. Beneath the footsteps, the solid presence of the wooden floor returns the primordial and rooted warmth of the home, suggesting a slow, contemplative pace.
Light and matter: silent innovation
Our vision of technique is always and only at the service of daily emotion. On the vertical walls, sophisticated vinyl wallpapers introduce textures perceptible to the eye and touch, interrupted with millimeter precision by lines of warm, architectural light. The lighting never flaunts its power: it sculpts the volumes, caresses the coverings, and guides the visitor, demonstrating how the most complex execution solutions must ultimately resolve into an aesthetic of well-being and visual comfort.
The beating heart of the encounter
At the exact center of this spatial composition lies the beating heart of the entire project: the meeting area. Protected and enveloped by the embrace of the exhibition path, this reserved agora transforms the operational space into an authentic lounge for connection. Here, surrounded by the harmony of the installation, the dynamic of negotiation softens, shedding the coldness of business to rediscover the value of listening, empathy, and human encounter. The unanimous response and the great success gathered in this edition confirm the strength of a shared vision: elegance, when combined with design responsibility and a love for detail, does not merely display, but builds worlds in which we truly wish to live.
